Halloween Weekend on the Trail
This weekend is the spookiest time of the year and the Toast the Coast trail is filled with costume contests, seasonal beers, trunk or treats, trivia, and other events to celebrate Halloween. Here is a list of some of the spooktacular events you can find at the breweries and distilleries in Coastal Virginia.
Hampton
Capstan Bar Brewing - A Hoppy Halloween
October 30, 2 - 8 pm
This Halloween fest will feature decorations, games, a costume party, and a trunk-or-treat as well as Carmen’s Jamaican Authentic Cuisine food truck and a Paint-A-Stein activity where you can paint your own spooky Halloween beer stein.
Oozlefinch Beers & Blending - BOOzlefest Halloween Party
October 30, 6 - 11 pm
Get dressed up and BOOzy for a Halloween evening on the water. Includes a trunk-or-treat and a trick-or-treat at the brewery for kiddos from 5 - 8 pm. Wear your best costume for the Costume Contest with categories like Most Creative, Best DIY, and Best All-Around. Earlier in the day, enjoy a brunch and a drag show with the Drag Brunch Halloween Hoedown.
The Vanguard Brewpub and Distillery - Right On Halloween!
October 30, 8 - 11 pm
Celebrate Halloween in style with prizes for the best costume and an epic ‘70s-style party band, The Right On Band, an authentic “ten-piece show band” with a full horn section.
Newport News
Coastal Fermentory - Halloween Party
October 29, 6 pm
Kick off the Halloween weekend with live music by the Red Stapler Duo, delicious craft beer, and tons of fun. Costumes are absolutely encouraged!
Tradition Brewing Co. - Halloween Beer Bash
October 30, Noon - 11 pm
It’s a day-long party of ghoulish fun with beer specials, a pumpkin-painting contest, costume contest for adults, kids, and even dogs! Donuts, live music, and the Old City BBQ food truck make for a day full of spooky fun.
Williamsburg
Billsburg Brewery - The Legend of Lager Town
October 29 - 31
Billsburg’s Spooktacular 4th Anniversary is a three night all-weekend event with each night featuring spooky fun. It starts with live music and a new hard seltzer release on Friday, Oct. 29. Then, on Oct. 30, there is a trunk-or-treat, a costume contest, and more! Finally, on Halloween night, Billsburg will host the Boo’s and Brew Cornhole Charity Tournament and the HallowQueen Drag Show.
Brass Cannon Brewing - Ghostoberfest 2021
October 30, 5 - 9 pm
It’s Brass Cannon’s 4th Annual Ghostoberfest, an annual Halloween party and fundraiser for the Heritage Humane Society. The brewery is decked with spooky additions with live music and the Kirbside Dawgs & Hawgs food truck. There’s also a costume contest, a bake sale, raffles, and a chance to hang out with some adorable adoptable dogs.
Virginia Beer Co. - Halloween Saturday with Hostile Animals
October 30, 4 - 7 pm
It’s a throw-down this Halloweekend with Hostile Animals performing live. The brewery will feature new beer releases with Pumpkin Patches pouring on tap along with the FoodaTude food truck. Wear a Halloween costume for a discount on your first pour and to be entered into a raffle for a Virginia Beer Co. gift card!
